A heartwarming incident took place where a firefighter rescued a husky from a roof and was rewarded with a sweet kiss from the grateful dog. Captain Jeff Nawfel of Wells Fire Department in Maine, USA, had to calm the husky down and win its trust before returning it to its home. Throughout history, dogs have been known for their loyalty and helpfulness to humans, making them indispensable companions in many households and rural areas.
Despite their independence, there are moments when our beloved pets need our help to overcome obstacles. This was certainly true for a charming husky in Wells, Maine, who found themselves in a tight spot.
A video posted by the Wells Police Department on their Facebook account showed a dog who had been stuck on the roof of his house and unable to come down despite his owners’ efforts. While it may seem like a minor issue, the municipal Fire Department had to intervene to safely rescue the furry friend without any harm.
Based on the pictures, it seems that the firefighter climbed up to the roof of the house and soothed the dog until it felt comfortable with him. Once they had established a rapport, the firefighter picked up the pooch and brought it back inside through the window. Before heading in, though, the dog took a moment to give the firefighter a kiss on the cheek, perhaps as a way of saying thank you for rescuing it.
In 2018, Captain Jeff Nawfel of the Wells Fire Department rescued a cute little puppy that got stuck on his roof. The police department issued a statement thanking Captain Nawfel and sharing a video of Officer Steve McDonald’s heroic actions. Captain Nawfel expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped in the rescue.
