From time to time, our furry companions need a helping hand to get out of tricky situations. This was certainly the case for an endearing husky dog in Wells, Maine, who found himself stuck on the roof of his home. As shown in a video shared by the Wells Police Department on Facebook, the pooch was unable to come down and ignored the pleas of his owners. Although it may seem like a minor incident, the municipal Fire Department had to intervene to rescue the canine safely and without harm.
Based on the pictures, it seems that the firefighter climbed up to the rooftop of the house and managed to soothe the dog, gaining its trust. Once they established a connection, the firefighter picked up the pooch and brought it back inside through the fireplace window. But before going in, the dog took a moment to give the firefighter a sweet kiss on the cheek, which appeared to be its way of saying thank you for the heroic rescue.
Captain Jeff Nawfel of the Wells Fire Department successfully rescued a cute puppy that was trapped on his roof. The police released a statement thanking Captain Nawfel and featuring Officer Steve McDonald’s video of the rescue.
Appreciation was expressed towards all who reached out and provided aid during the incident of rescuing him back in 2018.
